Abstract

The primary purpose of this study is to share information about a remarkable period of history, between the ninth and thirteenth century, often referred to as the Golden Age of Islam. We will examine some of the leading but by no means all the philosophers and scientists of the Golden Age. The figures we will discuss all admired wisdom and sought it through enquiry, research and knowledge. To understand the significance of that golden era in the history of world, this study will also delineate the main philosophical and scientific problems which were resolved in that very zeitgeist.
