1.1 INTRODUCTION
Ever since Nigeria fained her Independence since October 1st 1960, some abundant natural resources was discovered in its earth crust. And it is generally believed that the natural resources of any national ought to be regarded as a blessing unto the nation. And it believed that these natural resources be channeled to the utmost benefit of the citizenry among the abundant natural resources are cool, forest from where five wood is derived, drawrism, and the Nigerian’s present day chief source of economy, the petroleum and its products. This have proven amongst all the named resources found within this country to be the most important and infact the pillar of today and tomorrow economy some useful fuel, which today makes life more meaningful are gotten from it.
Fuel has over the years been one of the most important sources of energy and no modern or industrialized nation will survive without it nor will a developing country like Nigeria attain a meaningful level of development without it. Industrial plants and processes need fuel oil while both manufacturing industries and domestic consumers require fuel, natural gas, coal, give wood or eaten saw dust for heating and cooling respectively. Without fuel, service industries will be founded, commercial transportation either in the form of motor vehicle. Transportation, commercial aviation or mass transportation of coals, services and people by rout, road and sea would have been unthinkable, in short modern automated manufacturing processes, mechanized agriculture, transportation construction health care and all other human erideavours which collectively constitute what is generally described as modern civilization would be so difficult if not impossible to achieve.
