The purpose of this study is to indentify the impact of motivation in achieving organization performance,a study of Access Bank of Nigeria. This study objective is to know if lack of motivation is the major reasons behind employees switching organization, to develop a sustainable policy that will help organization to reduce the rate of low morale by employees in other to achieve its objective, also to examine the factors that motivates employees and investigates the connections between employee’s motivation and organization performance and finally, to develop an effective policy to measure and evaluate performance with standard set to the employees by the organization. In this study, data were collected through primary and secondary sources (journals, publications, questionnaire etc.). The study population was 250 in which a sample of 153 was drawn from the total population using simple random technique (Taro Yamane model) to determine the sample size of the respondents in order to avoid bias. Questionnaires were administered as the primary instrument for data collection of the exact figure of the sample size of 153 copies and were returned. The survey research was adopted for the study while chi-square was used to test the four hypotheses formulated. The finding reveal that employee are likely to switch organisation if there is lack of motivation, furthermore, the findings proved that organization needs to develop sustainable policies to reduce the rate of low morale of their employees and finally, proved that organization need to put in place a policy to measure performance from standard set for their employee. The study recommends that Management of Access bank should create policies on motivation that will have impact on their employee’s performance and job satisfaction, alsothat the organizations should maintain and incorporate policies like salary and other fringe benefits for the employees, many motivated employee become very productive for the organization, this put a positive impact directly on the organizational performance.
