Till date IVR systems are used in the areas of telephone banking, tele-voting etc but our project is a step towards even broader aspect and usage of IVR systems i.e. in college automation. Through our project “microcontroller based automation system”, we are trying to replace the conventional notice board by a well automated device. The circuit enables the user to hear as well as read the information being announced through a speaker and an LCD.If the announcements regarding any event, its timings, venue, agenda and other details are made manually then there are chances of confusion, misinterpretation or the listeners might skip a wordor two. On the whole, it may lead to chaotic situations without the proper delivery of messages. This project “Microcontroller based automation system”, aims to eliminate this problem especially in case of colleges and schools.Till now in schools and colleges, the notice board has been a medium of utmost importance for communication between the management and students. All the information regarding the day-to -day happenings in the institution would be displayed on the notice board. The students are required to approach their teachers to know various details about them. With this system we have to solve this problem. Here we have used the microcontroller memory to store various details and later on when the student wants he/she can retrieve the information both in speech form from the speakers and text form as displayed on the LCD screen.
