The research was carried out on "customary marriage practices and the law in south Sudan" and it analysis the customs, beliefs norms and national laws that are applicable in South Sudan and the legal customs and it weakness and the strengthens. The significance of an essential legal bframework is established as per the new and existing laws enshrined in the transitional constitution of South Sudan 2011. Chapter one provides the background of the customary marriage practices among the Dinka and the setting also includes the statement of the problem and as well as the core objectives experimented in the study. The framework that establishes the variables for the study are also explained and expounded within the existing applicable laws. Chapter two examines the review of literature and other works done on customary marriage practices and law in South Sudan and elsewhere. The provisions are explained with relative undertaking of various policies and legal frameworks that are necessitated within the existing structure and other complex approaches to customs.

Chapter three is the critically analysis of the law relating to customary marriage and practices. The research designs as well as the standard research framework, the instrumentations and the analysis factor is underlined and forms the utilization strategy for the examination of the research.
