different sensors. Automobile airbag has gained acceptance over the years as an effective

measure to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with motor vehicle accidents, as such more vehicles have become equipped with them.As noble as the idea sounds new problems have been encountered with the deployment system and its relative sensors which have led to the following injuries retinal damage causing blindness, skull damage, neck injuries etc. Whatever outcome from this study is aim at justifying the need for further research in the area of vehicle safety with extensive focus on strengthening airbag related vehicle issues.

Keywords: Airbag, injuries, safety, automobile, weight sensor, accelerometer,

Sensor: acceleration sensor, wheel speed sensors, brake pressure sensor, seat occupancy
