ABSTRACT
This study focuses on the social and moral implications of examination malpractice in tertiary institution. Data were collected through questionnaires, frequency of Yes or No answers given to each questionnaire item by the respondent were computed in percentage and multiplied by hundred(100). The major findings is that everybody has a great role to play in controlling examination malpractice in our society. Examination malpractice has been one of those things our society does not know how to avoid the finding have also proved that lectures who sell their question paper show that they cannot be trusted to look after valued and confidential matters in the society. our female students are advised to read their books and study very well in order not to sell their bodies again so that the society will be an example society. Therefore the finding have proved that students do not read their books instead they hoped on how to cheat and copy materials which they will take into the examination hall. From the analysis of data collected, the researcher come out with the following major recommendation;1) there should be proper supervision and invigilation in examination hall by lecturers. 2)the school should have adequate examination hall and other basic tea`ching materials.
