Abstract 

Political violence and its implications on National development in Nigeria cannot be over emphasize. This is because  development itself  is a dependent variable that can only be seen manifest where political violence is at it barest minimal.

Theoritical frameworkfor the study of this research includes; Relative deprivation/ frustration aggression theory, systemic  theoryand group conflict theory. A secondary source of data was adopted for this research
