Corporate governance especially in the banking industry is now a global phenomenon. It is unique, once in a life time event. Several researches conducted to ascertain the effect of corporate governance on organizational profitability and growth produced diverse results. Thus, the desire to find out the impact of adequate corporate governance on organizational growth ignited this study. This work examined the impact of adequate corporate governance on organizational growth with particular reference to the Intercontinental Bank Plc, Uyo. To achieve this purpose, four research questions and three research hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. A structured questionnaire was used as the main instrument for data collection from 20 personnel of the Bank. The data collected from the respondents were analyzed using percentage and chi-square (X2) statistical tool. All tests were carried out at 0.05 level of significance. The result revealed that all the variables tested significantly related with the achievement of organizational goals through compliance to adequate corporate governance and ethics of business. The study concluded with some recommendations that the central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) should see that it organizes seminars, workshops and conferences for commercial banks as its supervisory role for the repositioning of the banking industry in Nigeria to be able to compete favourably in the global economy.
