ABSTRACT
This research work is based on the evaluation of internal control measures and corporate governance of firms in Nigeria: a survey of selected manufacturing companies in rivers state. The primary objective of all business organization is profit maximizing. Consequently, a lot of management effort is geared toward increasing revenue through sales and minimizing cost. As a result of this all business organization use what is known as corporate governance. With respect to research question and in the courses of this study, the following questions are to serve as guide in the process of data collection. The research questions are; to what extend does the evaluation of internal control measures and corporate governance enhance performance of firms in Nigerian? How does the determination of internal control measures affect the performance of firms in Nigeria? In the course of the research it was found that from Ho1 result that the probability of the F statistic is .4%. Since the probability of F statistic is below the 5% level of significance, we would reject the null hypothesis and conclude that there is significance effect of internal control measures on management performance of firms in Nigeria.
