The study established factors influencing the performance ofsingle window system at Namanga Border Station. For the implementation of the single window system to be successful, there needs to be good attention that is projected towards the employees, cost incurred during implementation process andmanagement. Failure and the success of an organization are based on themeasures put in place during the implementation process. Numerousorganizations today face a lot of challenges that are mainly connected with howdigital systems are implemented. Namanga Border Station has strategicimplementation plans that are underway, and it’s for this reason as to why the study focused to investigate the factors that are affecting implementation strategy of the SWS. The study particularly examined the effect of information sharing, system integration and documentation on implementation of single window system. This study focused on the theory of transformation, system theory and resource-based theory. The study adopted descriptive research design. The study’starget population constituted customs officers, KPA officers and clearing agents who are 740 in total. The study adopted the use of self-administered structuredquestionnaires to collectdata. The researcher utilized descriptive statistics for dataanalysis which included measures of central tendency namely, frequencies, percentages andmeans and measures of dispersion namely, variances and standard deviations. Data wasanalyzedusingstatisticalpackageforsocialscience(SPSSVersion22).Analysis was done, using frequency counts, percentages, means, standard deviation and the information generated was presented in form of tables and figures. This study concluded that information sharing positively affects the implementation of single window system, it was also concluded that system integration positively affects the implementation of single window system. The researcher also concluded that documentation affects the implementation of the Single window system. The study further established that SWS had a significant and positive relationship on trade facilitation. Based on the identified gaps it was recommended that all SWS stakeholders and managers in the firms are involved in the all the stages of the SWS processes. Internal and external stakeholders should be identified to brainstorm on the action plans to be adopted to ensure inefficiencies in the SWS operations are tackled and thereby lead to an improvement in service quality. The study also recommended the management should also ensure that implementation of the SWS is considered as a key organizational strategic tool in the achievement of the required objectives.
