This study was carried out to determine the effect of workplace conditions on employees’ job performance in Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan. Stratified sampling techniques were used to select one hundred and thirty-nine (139) respondents through a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings revealed that the mean age of respondents was 43.1years,60% of the respondents were male and 69.4% of the respondents were married.
Major workplace conditions identified were; good and cordial relationship( =4.05),grid organizational policies ( =4.01),and comfortable working hours( =4.00).Also employees were satisfied with the working environment( =3.64).

Level of job performance is seen to be moderate despite some challenges identified. Sufficient time for execution of a task is thereby recommended and seminars( =2.15).
