ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to examine the parental attitude towards female-child education in the Kintampo North Municipality. Respondents were two hundred and forty (240). This consists of thirty (30) teachers, one hundred students 190 students and twenty (20) parents. Two methods of data analysis were adopted, first, descriptive statistics involving the use of frequency, percentages and pie chart were used to present the data use to present data collected. The frequency was then converted into tabular representation to help establish the direction of the responds and conclusion drawn. A descriptive survey design was used. The target population for the study comprised teachers, pupils and parents in some selected schools in JHS Three (3) in Kintampo North Municipality. The findings of the study revealed that parental attitude towards femalechild education negatively impacted girl child education in the Kintampo North Municipal. The results also indicated that there were also some factors militating negatively against girl-child education such as ignorance, economic factor, single parenting and early marriage. In the light of the research findings, the researcher recommends that sensitization and advocacy campaign of the advantages of female education should be highly embarked upon by government. And also, government and non-governmental organizations should institute economic empowerment measures in communities in order to limit other economic factors.
