ABSTRACT

The main purpose of this study was to make an Analysis of Factors Contributing to occupational Aspiration of Business Education Students of the Cross River University Technology (CRUTECH), Calabar. To achieve the aim of this study, three main hypotheses were generated to guide the study. Literatures related to the variables under study were reviewed. A survey research design was adopted for the study. A total of two hundred (200) respondents were randomly selected for the study. The questionnaire was the major instrument used for data collection. Pearson product moment correlation and independent t-test analysis were employed to test the hypotheses guiding the study. The results of the analyses indicated that peer group, gender and parental choice of occupation significantly influence occupational aspiration of students. Based on the findings and conclusion of the study, recommendations and suggestion for further studies were made.
