ABSTRACT The project work was carried out in manga district along kisii- kemera road having realized that the visually impaired children were taking too long to be integrated in the society , the project work was intended to find out how and what improvement can be done to enable this children to fit in the community . The following are the objectives of this study; To establish views of teacher and parents towards the teaching of children with visual problems. To find out if there are any provisions given by the regular schools to ensure that the environment caters for the visually impaired child. To establish provisions available to cater for the needs of the visually impaired children. To identify problems encountered by the teachers In the process of teaching children with visual problem To establish the number of specialists and trained teachers in kemera zone To establish the common teaching methods and resources used by the teachers .To establish the causes of visual impairment on children in this zone. Data was collected using observation, questionnaire and interview. Data analyzed using tri - central tendency and descriptive methods. The sample size comprised a total population of twenty teachers and ten parents. The project will assist the government to alleviate the problems faced by visually impaired children.
