Cation Exchange Capcz cr i ry» essential micronutrients (zinc, Mangan-e.s er, copper and iron) and soil .ierties such as particle size distribute rt crrz and soil textural class .. And soil samples were taken on each land use for determination of soi Z ph:>"es such as bulk density, porosity, and soil 7rLoisture. A total of nin es ry» Mes from the six different land use system-zs very collected, put in rc» scaled appropriately and taken to the laboraTOry for analysis (Booney err recruiter, 2002). Results show that there is 7rLarked difference in the e__ffexerts on soil properties between the fallow land and the cultivate reec/ er, variation between cultivated fields is nOT significant at 0.051evel ~ This is attributed to cultivated crops in The dijJerentfields being c: ha7' shallow feeders except for the orchard and so their influence o1-characteristics is fairly uniform. Another indication was that leaving Zar-j planting orchard would be good praCTice for soil conservancy r ie».
