ABSTRACT
The increase in human population has lay more pressure on land, because of the static nature and importance of land it is highly demanded thereby leading People to search for reliable information relating to such land which is appropriate, has integrity, up-to-date and most importantly secured for development. An information which is not secured is regarded as an irrelevant information and hardly satisfies the need for obtaining it. In surveying, information processed from raw facts are held in high regard due to the accuracy and precision involved. To provide solution to the problem of information management using the traditional method which is cumbersome and time consuming in the handling of land data. The development of a functional land information management system will solve the problem of data management by providing a better platform for the storage, updating, and retrieval of land information, this is attained only when a database is created specifically for storing a defined set of data and to control access to the data. This project provides a suitable database application for data management in two software, making information management timely and secured with reference to each other, maps are produced, to show the visual result based on the stored data. For the purpose of improving Land Information System I recommend that all data managed by traditional method in land related organizations should be transformed into a computerized system for better management.
