One of the rabbit was used for preliminary study to establish 100 percent concertration prepared for the root extract ,adrenaline ,acetylcholine were used. The doses used were 100,200,400,800 ug for the extract  and ADR respectively. These dose were used on 2-5cm invitro isolated rabbit intestine in 20milileter organ bath with tyrode solution at 37 degree centigrade and was supplied with oxygen via an aerator against the contraction initiated by 400ug acetylcholine. The percentage relaxation is recorded using kymograph , the mean percentage response of the agent Rauwolfia vomitoria and adrenaline of six rabbit used at respective doses were tabulated at p<0.05 student test .F-distribution. Test ANOVA at p<0.05 were used and the test shows that there is no significant difference between the agents the extract Rauwolfia vomitoria .Hence null hypothesis accepted.
