This investigated the impact of the New Public Management (NPM) on the performance of civil servants under the civil service commission. The secondary data for this study was sourced from the Civil Service Commission Reform, and primary data from staff from Ministries Departments and Agencies in the FCT, Abuja. The researcher covered a time series of five years from 2013 to 2017 which covers the period of NPM introduction. The study made use of T-Statistics and discovered that

evaluating the performance of civil servants through the New Public Management has helped to reveal some of the weaknesses in their performance. The study recommended that NPM be implemented in all tiers of government to ensure transparency.
