INTRODUCTION
Motorcycle is a vehicle that has twice wheels and an ingine which also moves very fast like that of a car, they travel to long distances but causes severe damage in an accident. Motorcycle users stand to be the most vulnerable on the road as they are more exposed to this risk than other road users. Riding motorized two-wheeled vehicles carries a higher risk of being involved in a fatal traffic accident than from using any other common mode of transport. For instance, a study conducted by Koornstra et al., (2003) estimated that, per100 million person travelling hours, 440 motorized two wheeled vehicle rider fatalities occur, compared to 75 and 25 fatalities for cyclists and car drivers, respectively. Therefore, in order to reduce road traffic injuries, it is most important to target this group of road users. Recently, the use of motorcycle as commercial transport is on the increase in most urban areas in Ghana. This development is attributable to limited reliable commercial transport and inadequate infrastructure. These motorcycles are used by many on commercial basis for transportation of passengers and they have an advantage of evading traffic jams, passing along narrow paths and relatively affordable costs as compared to motor vehicle taxis.
