ABSTRACT This project is about how to effectively use the inventory system in a supermarket. It was carried out to find how customers can access items in the supermarket without any difficulties. Among many problems associated with the time, lack of training to the employees, lack of enough facilities like computers that can respond to different queries and inbuilt software’s to support to the DB to and cost and the possible guidelines that can be provided to improve management ofthe supermarket. This survey research design will be adopted by uchuzi supermarket to modernize the method of how data of day to day sales and to produce weekly reports for the manager, If well used this method will bring about fabulous outcome. However, flexible approach may also be used altogether questionnaires, interviews and observations will be the tool for data collection. Data will be presented using both qualitative and quantitative research techniques. Afterwards conclusion will be put forward for further researchers on the topic and for the policy reviewers. So that the supermarket can be managed better and their records being proceeds in a standard way that will reduce if not eliminating all the mentioned problems and this will make the work easy whereby customers will be able to get any item they want and goes to the counter for payment then a receipt will be given.
